PRIORITIES
As mayor, crime prevention and public safety will be my top priority. I will ensure our police and fire departments are fully staffed, trained and equipped to keep our neighborhoods, parks and schools crime-free. I am honored to have the endorsement of the Carmel Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 185 and the Carmel Professional Firefighters Local 4444.
Carmel’s livability and favorable business environment has made our community a destination for families from around the world. As mayor, I will commission a housing studying to better understand our needs. I will ensure future development is responsible and doesn’t encroach on our vibrant neighborhoods and greenspace.
Carmel is financially sound, with low taxes, a balanced budget, and a solid rainy-day fund, and we have done it while maintaining high-quality, citizen-first municipal services. As mayor, I will focus on customer service, public safety, and infrastructure and ensure Carmel is financially responsible with your tax dollars.
Carmel is a special place to live, work, raise a family, and retire. I will work to maintain our high quality of life, investing in neighborhoods, parks, roadways, and public safety.
For over 12 years, I have put my constituents first, listening to their concerns over coffee and at town hall meetings. I’ve worked hard to make sure communication is a two-way street. As mayor, I will continue this approach increasing transparency and ensuring you have a say in Carmel’s future.
Businesses seek out Carmel because of our low taxes, an educated workforce, and high quality of life. Using my executive experience, I will continue to bring new businesses to Carmel and make sure we are a place where existing business can grow and expand.
I support state, county and local governments working cooperatively to ensure our area remains competitive via low business operating costs, a deep bench of talent and an environment free from overreaching and nonsensical regulation. Additionally, I support home rule – where local officials are allowed to make decisions for local residents, as they are closest to their constituents and know their communities best.
